FleetUp AI: Scope and Current Boundaries
This page outlines what FleetUp AI can do today, the data it uses, and areas still in development. It provides a clear overview of how FleetUp AI supports daily operations, data analysis, and platform guidance.
FleetUp AI is designed to assist with exploration, analysis, and platform guidance. For finalized operational records, exports, or compliance documentation, refer to the corresponding FleetUp platform reports and features.
What FleetUp AI Does Today
FleetUp AI combines platform guidance with operational data search and analysis in one experience. You can ask questions about your fleet activity, request summaries, explore trends, or get help navigating the platform.
Use FleetUp AI to:
- Look up fleet activity such as trips, alerts, asset status, device information, and dashcam safety events
- Generate summaries, explanations, or simple visualizations based on available data
- Analyze trip activity, idling duration, odometer readings, and engine hours
- Find where platform features are located or how to complete common tasks
- Get help with setup, onboarding, and general platform navigation
- View Trip Replay links from supported trip searches
- Generate shareable links for previous Scout conversations
Example Questions
- “Which vehicles had the most speeding alerts this week?”
- “Show me trips completed yesterday over 300 miles.”
- “Find trips completed on March 15 between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.”
- “Which drivers triggered the most distracted driving events today?”
- “Summarize forward collision warnings for the past 30 days.”
- “Compare idling duration across vehicles for the last 60 days.”
- “How do I add a new driver to my account?”
- “Where do I find my fuel summaries?”
FleetUp AI answers based on your live account data and general platform guidance.
Scope of Data Coverage
FleetUp AI analyzes operational data already stored in your account. It works best for quick insights, recent activity reviews, and high-level summaries.
Data Types Currently Supported
- Trip history
- Asset status and activity
- Device information and status
- Alerts (speeding, harsh events, and other supported alerts)
- Dashcam safety and driver behavior events
- Operational timelines and historical activity within current date limits
- Idling duration within trip activity
- Odometer and engine hour data
- Basic performance trends
- Driver and vehicle summary information accessible within reports (some report metrics, including driver score values, may not currently be returned through FleetUp AI)
- Trip Replay links for supported trip searches
Search and Matching Capabilities
FleetUp AI supports partial matching and case-insensitive searches for many vehicle names, device IDs, and groups. When multiple vehicles, devices, or groups match a search request, FleetUp AI may ask follow-up questions to clarify which asset you are referring to. FleetUp AI can distinguish between AI Dashcam events and standard fleet alerts when analyzing operational activity. As additional features and datasets become available to FleetUp AI, they will be added to this page.
Current Limitations
FleetUp AI capabilities are actively expanding. The following items are not currently supported and should be accessed directly through the FleetUp platform.
Unavailable Data and Features
- Battery history and sensor readings: Historical battery and device sensor data (temperature, door status) are not currently accessible through FleetUp AI.
- Geofencing data and events: Geofence entry/exit events, geofence-based alerts, and zone analytics are not yet supported.
- Vehicle maintenance data and configurations: Maintenance schedules, service logs, fault codes, and configuration data are not currently accessible.
- Shipment data and shipment workflows: Shipment details and tracking information are not yet supported in FleetUp AI. This includes shipment views such as Outgoing, Completed, Stop, Incoming, Missing, and Removed shipments, as well as shipments categorized by risk level (High, Medium, Low).
- Compliance, HOS, and ELD data: Hours-of-service logs, ELD records, and compliance data are not currently accessible through FleetUp AI. This also includes HOS violations, ELD data file generation, UDR (Unidentified Driving Records), and submitting reports to the FMCSA.
- Coaching and workforce features: Driver coaching insights, coaching workflows, and related reports are not yet available through FleetUp AI. This includes workforce management features such as Time Card management and Score Card management, as well as coaching information available in the Dashboard, Dashcam, and Compliance areas of the platform.
Reports and Data Accuracy
FleetUp AI can generate summaries or report-style outputs for certain operational data. As report generation through AI continues to expand, some report responses may be best used for quick analysis or exploration, while the FleetUp Reports tab remains the authoritative source for finalized report exports.
Verify data before use
FleetUp AI offers quick insights from your reports. Column formats may differ from the FleetUp platform, so please verify values for operational use or exports.
Reports not yet available in FleetUp AI
- Battery History Report
- Door Monitoring Report
- Temperature Report / Temperature Sensor Report
- Speed Fence Report
- FMCSA ELD Data File
- IFTA Report
- Vehicle Condition Report
- Safety Score Report
- Driving Score Report
- Time Card Report
